Fradswell Village Hall
'A vibrant community hub at the heart of Fradswell, providing local opportunities to meet, socialise, learn, share & shop,
A model for rural community engagement'
We want to provide opportunities, facilities and services within the community to reduce isolation and the need to travel.
Our community has been here for generations. In all we do we strive to ensure it is here for generations to come.
We want to engage every part of our community, recognising the threat of rural isolation, especially being aware of the need to involve the young and the elderly.
We aim to provide opportunities that truly enable people, through teaching new skills and encouraging enterprise
Whatever we seek to do in the future we should always be proud of and embrace our tradition

The village hall remains closed in line with government guidelines, and because our first priority is to ensure everyone stays safe. We will continue to review the situation and cannot wait until the time in 2021 that welcome you back!
It remains a difficult and challenging time, however, and we just wanted to reassure you and your neighbours that we are here if you want anything- shopping done, medication collected or just a friendly voice to chat to.
Irene Phillips has sourced a supply of free food (from County Stores Supermarket) to be placed in the summer house at the village hall weekly, usually on Friday afternoons. (This is food which would otherwise be destined for landfill, because of supermarket surplus) Please just come along and help yourself…it’s there to be taken! Tell your neighbours too! Keep an eye on the community hub Facebook group or give Irene a call (number below)
"It’s still business as usual at the Post Office apart from ….. I have had a hand sanitiser dispenser station installed just inside the door for everybody to use. It’s looking brilliant, – I even managed to get it made in Post Office colours. As you can gather I’m very excited about it and I hope everyone find it easy to use. It is just inside the first door, you simply place a hand under the tap and the sensor will automatically dispense the correct amount, so leave your hand underneath until it stops!
