Fradswell Village Hall

Our vision:

'A vibrant community hub at the heart of Fradswell, providing local opportunities to meet, socialise, learn, share & shop,

A model for rural community engagement'

Our values:

We want to provide opportunities, facilities and services within the community to reduce isolation and the need to travel.

Our community has been here for generations. In all we do we strive to ensure it is here for generations to come.

We want to engage every part of our community, recognising the threat of rural isolation, especially being aware of the need to involve the young and the elderly.

We aim to provide opportunities that truly enable people, through teaching new skills and encouraging enterprise

Whatever we seek to do in the future we should always be proud of and embrace our tradition

We hope you're able to visit us in our community hub, very soon!

What's On...

In light of the developing situation and government advice, trustees have decided with sadness, the sensible course of action is to

close the Village Hall until further notice.

However, it’s most important to emphasise that many people are still here to help anybody in the community who needs anything, such as shopping, medication etc.

You only have to let us know if you, or your neighbours need help by posting on our Facebook group or calling:

Andrea 07715 810077

Barry 07808 094364

Bridgette 07974 169092

Carol 07935 326090

Celia 07891 285254

Irene 07770 780078

Village Hall CLOSED till further notice

Our Village hall is now closed.

Our village green is of course, still open for those wishing to take a walk/exercise.

Our Serenity Garden still provides a welcome place to sit in the sunshine and admire the view.

The table tennis is out on the patio for your enjoyment.

There are a selection of bookswap books in the summerhouse. Feel free to help yourself, or drop a couple of your your books off. (Don't bring loads!)

Please don't forget to follow all

current government advice

with regard to sanitizing and social distancing.

Stay healthy!

A message from Caroline at

Milwich Post Office:

"Milwich Post Office is open as usual.

If you find it difficult to come to me in normal opening hours or if you are worried about queuing, I am happy to see you outside normal hours but can we do it by appointment so that I am prepared for you. Please call me on the Post Office number 01889 502381, if I can’t answer - leave a message & I will call you back. Please be aware that the final collection time will remain the same so out of hours post etc will go in my next working day collection.

Any changes to the opening hours will be advised here and I will also put a notice on the gate so you don’t have to make the trek to the house.

There are some disruptions to the postal service, please use this link to check on the current coronavirus advice or give me a call & I will try to help.

Take care & stay safe,  Caroline"

A message from Milwich with

Fradswell Parish Council:

"It would be useful for the Parish Council to know who, in the vulnerable group (over 70 years old for example), is isolating at home so that we can compile a list.

Please phone one of your councillors (Malcolm Calhaem for Fradswell on 01889 270297) or (Brian Boughey for Milwich on 01889 502757) to give your details.  Similarly if anybody not needing to isolate is willing to help out those vulnerable groups, with for example shopping or just a phone call now and then, please also give us your details."
